Kiln dried logs provide you with the highest possible heat output and the most economical burn. The process of kiln drying removes moisture down to the optimum of between 10-20%, this makes sure our logs are consistently top quality. Once kiln dried they are easier to light, keep the glass on your stove cleaner and prevent soot and tar building up in your chimney. All our kiln dried logs are a standard length of 25cm, this is the most common size and recommended by 99% of wood and multi-fuel stove manufacturers.
Because the process of seasoning logs can be very inconsistent, you could end up paying for partially seasoned logs that when you burn them use a lot of their energy evaporating excess moisture, this is energy that should be being turned into heat for your room. Also burning wet or partially seasoned logs greatly reduces the life of you stove and chimney, knowing this we don’t believe anyone can afford not to burn Kiln Dried Logs!
